These are the terms of service ("Terms") for Global Academic Supply ("we," "us," "GAS"). By using globalacademicsupply.com or buying from us, you agree to these Terms.
We wrote this in plain English. If anything is unclear, email [email protected].
Global Academic Supply sells academic books to institutions and individuals. We source through publisher channels, distributor relationships, and authorized wholesale partnerships. Our pricing is typically 40–70% below Amazon retail because we buy directly and pass savings on.
Public point of contact: Margaret Caldwell, on behalf of Global Academic Supply LLC. Legal entity: Global Academic Supply LLC (United States).
Some features (account dashboard, order history, wholesale-pricing access, FBA-reseller services, dropship-partner services) require an account. To create one, you must:
For gated-access services (wholesale, FBA, dropship), accounts require approval. We may request additional verification (business registration, tax-exempt documents, references) before approval.
You can close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will close it within 7 days. Records required by law (tax, audit) are retained per our Privacy Policy retention schedule.
Pricing. Our prices are listed in USD by default and converted at checkout for non-USD geographies. All prices include any applicable bulk discounts shown on the product page. Prices are subject to change without notice; the price at checkout is the price you pay.
Availability. We display books listed in our catalog. Availability is not guaranteed until your order is confirmed. If a book becomes unavailable after you order, we will notify you within 3 business days and offer either (a) a refund or (b) a substitute (if equivalent edition exists), at your choice.
Tax. Global Academic Supply does not charge sales tax on orders. Any use-tax obligation in the buyer's home jurisdiction is the buyer's responsibility, as is standard for cross-jurisdiction B2B sales.
Purchase orders + Net-30. Verified institutional accounts may pay by purchase order with Net-30 terms. PO acceptance requires prior account approval and credit verification. Defaults on Net-30 invoices may result in account suspension and standard collections process.
We ship worldwide. Standard shipping is free on every order, no minimum.
Delivery estimates: orders ship in 1–2 business days and reach the buyer in 4–14 business days transit (worldwide). Customs clearance in destination countries may add additional time outside our control.
We are not responsible for customs delays, import duties, or delivery failures caused by incorrect shipping addresses you provided. We provide tracking once your order ships; tracking-link delivery reports are the source of truth for delivery status.
Multi-address routing (for organizations shipping to multiple campuses/sites): supported at no additional charge for verified institutional accounts.
FBA reseller shipments are governed by the FBA Service Terms (separate document for gated-access service customers).
See our Refund Policy at /legal/refund for the full return + refund terms. Short version: 30-day return window for unopened items, returned to our warehouse, refund processed within 7 business days of return receipt. Exceptions for sealed sets, custom orders, and FBA-prep are described in the Refund Policy.
We use Razorpay to process payments. We do NOT see or store your payment card details. By placing an order, you authorize us to charge your provided payment method for the order total plus any agreed-upon fees (e.g., expedited shipping).
For institutional accounts on Net-30 terms, payment is due 30 days from invoice date. Late payments may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by law in the jurisdiction governing your account.
When using our services, you agree NOT to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts engaged in any of the above.
The GAS name, logo, site design, and content are our intellectual property. You may not use them without prior written permission, except for fair use (e.g., quoting our prices in a procurement comparison, citing us in a B-2-B vendor list).
Books we sell are the intellectual property of their respective publishers and authors. Buying a copy gives you ownership of that physical copy; it does not transfer any copyright or licensing rights.
We provide our services "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the site will always be available, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that any specific book will produce any specific outcome (e.g., we do not warrant that buying a textbook will result in passing an exam).
Edition-currency, pricing, availability, and product descriptions are provided in good faith based on our suppliers and the source-data integrations we maintain (including Amazon-live metadata refreshed within 24 hours). Errors occasionally happen; we correct them as soon as we discover them.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, OR USD $1,000, whichever is greater.
We are not liable for:
This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g., gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud).
If you violate these Terms or use the services unlawfully, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any resulting claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees).
If you have a complaint, email [email protected]. We commit to responding within 5 business days. We will work with you in good faith to resolve any issue.
We are a U.S.-registered LLC and operate in good faith with customers worldwide. If we cannot resolve a dispute through direct discussion, you retain all legal rights available to you under the law of your jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms. If we do, we will post the new version with a new "last updated" date. Material changes are emailed to account holders 30 days before they take effect.
Continued use of the services after a change indicates acceptance.
